Since the only body that USA Custom has at this time is for a generation one, I'm having the body built without the routing for the pickups and controls. I'm going to do that myself. To get them correctly routed, I had Tony Dudzik of Pickguardian.com rout me a plexiglass template that I can use to rout the body.

At the time I had him do this, I forgot to have him also cut an opening for the lower control plate. So, I have to do that myself. The sheet of plexiglass is plenty big enough.

Tremelo route: 1 1/4"
Control and switch cavities: 1 1/8"
Pickup/wiring cavities: 1/2"

As you can see, the pickguard lines up perfectly with the openings for the pickups, switch and control plate.
