Organic" guitar, this time a 28-fret, hand-carved electric classical that I made for a guitar major at the famed New England Conservatory in Boston. It has two pickups, one a K&K quad under-bridge passive type and the other is a B-Band (powered) under-bridge strip. They can be used singly or together. The top is a 100-year-old cedar barn board, with external bracing carved right into the top. The theme is "primeval". Inlay is mostly turquoise, with some highlights of black pearl, malachite and bits of copper. Back of the neck inlay is walnut burl and wenge. Sounds fabulous, with killer sustain, even unplugged.
