Gecko Daphne Blue Jazzmaster
This is an ash JM body I found on ebay, for I think $75.00. The guy had already done this blue, which is actually pretty nice color wise, but not what I want it to be. It's  pretty accurate, spec wise, to the Custom Shop Pinup JM I already have. Big difference between the two is this one will have a standard JM trem and be baby blue, actually called Daphne blue, when finished. That's the color of this background.
This is a tortoise shell pickguard. I've got another in mint green. 62 JMs were originally offered in both. This pickguard is more red, but I think the contrast between red and blue will be nice. Pics of the mint pg to follow later on.
The guy I bought this body from attempted to finish it with the blue stain over the ash you see in the picture.  His sanding left much to be desired. I think he sanded with rocks. There are a ton of scratches, some fairly deep. So, this baby get's stripped as far as needed, sanded, grain filled, and then white primer before I finish it with daphne blue and clear.  More pics to follow.
