Burny (AKA Fernandes for their Fender
Strat copies) was the first company to make Les Paul copy guitars, paying
attention to details such as head stock angle, flame-tops, etc. Their
guitars were exact copies. The VH-1 pickups were the result of research
into the Gibson sound.
