Gecko Strat Hollowcaster
Here's a second shot of the from the end with the top binding channel routed and ready for the ivoroid/black/ivoroid bindings.
Between the two shots, you also probably notice the body looks thicker than a regular Strat. Well, it is..but only 1/2 inch thicker overall.
The Strat "original contoured body" goes far towards the creation of an illusion of a thin body. A regular vintage Strat body is 1 and 3/4 inches thick. The Hollowcaster is 2 1/4 inches thick. This extra thickness gives more hollow space to get that special tone I'm looking for. The body, minus binding weighs just over 4 lbs.
