Gecko Les Paul Set Neck
Inlay routes complete and the inlays are just resting in the routed openings.
The wood is ebony, sanded to almost paper thickness by the time you get to the next picture.
I also drilled the tuner pilot holes. Final shaping comes after I fret the board, put on the binding and glue it to the neck.
Almost finished peghead. Still have some low spots to fill and level.
This cute little Gecko inlay was done as a one-off custom job by Shark-Inlay.com

This is just a test stain. It's been sanded off. I will do the "triple" stain process to make the figure really pop out.
Final colors will be a dark red on the currently reddish/brown areas, fading ever so lightly into the middle.
