Gecko Les Paul Set Neck

Ok...here's the body ready to mate with he neck.  I stained the body and then applied a thin coat of lacquer to seal  the surface, as well as protect it while I work on things.

You can see this is a long neck tenon in this shot.

Another shot of the tenon pocket.  You can also see that the top carve is kind of flat, like vintage or historic Les Pauls.

 

 

Here's a shot of the neck tenon with the fret board glued to it.

 
A shot of the peghead end of the neck. The area where the peghead arches down into the neck shaft is modified . It's higher up towards the peghead , Kluson style pickups won't fit, but Schallers or Sperzls will.

Here's another shot of the top carve from slightly above. You can clearly see the top is almost flat in the triangle from the stop tail up to where the neck joins the body.
