Here you can see the front of the body. It's a Les Paul Double Cutaway shape, with a Warmoth flavor. They've done great work for me in the past, so I went with them again. As you can see, it's routed for two humbuckers. |

To the right and above, is the back side. The back, as you can see, is Pao Ferro. The neck area is trimmed down to allow easier acess to the lower frets on the neck. The trem cavity, as of this writing, is going to remain open, ala the Paul Reed Smith Santana model. I don't know if I'm comfortable yet with this, but we'll see. If I need to, I can make a cover from the remaining Pao Ferro. |

Here's a closer shot of the top. You can clearly see the thickness of the maple top and mahogony center. |

The neck is an African wood called Wenge. It's very hard and very smooth. This pic needs replaced, but you can see the colors run from chocolate dark, to medium to almost black. Tuner machines are Schaller chrome.. |
The fretboard is ebony to add a bit of brightness to the neck sound. I've got block inlays on it to add a bit more color, plus a flamed maple veneer peghead where my Blue Gecko logo goes. Hopefully this time I'll get it on the guitar. I'm going to do some edge rounding, a kind of scalloping to smooth off the edges too. |
