Dear Mr. Wallace,

I am writing to ask you to please do a story about Waco, and the coverup our
government officials have so diligently waged over these almost seven years.
I know for a fact that the coverup stories we hear are definitely not
conspiracy theorists gone wild. I have been asking for information for
years concerning the death of my son, Michael Schroeder.

You must understand this shooting happened as the angry agents were
retreating from Mt. Carmel where their raid was a total flop and even some
of their agents were killed. Michael was shot by ATF agents and left to lay
in a field for four days before they even acknowledged his shooting or even
picked up his body. Then when the Texas Rangers, who were supposed to be
doing an independent investigation, tried to investigate the crime scene
once they finally went to pick up the body, the FBI pushed them to hurry and
get out of there. The Rangers marked various things they wished to check
out the next day and left, but Jeff Jamar (FBI) would not let them back at
the crime scene until ten days had passed and the rain had washed away all
the evidence marked.

In testimony the agents all said Michael was wearing a blue knit watch cap.
It was photographed on his head while he lay on the ground. However somehow
this cap never made it to the coroner's office. The hat was lost between
the time Michael was picked up and when he reached the coroner's
office...Amongst the various bullet wounds, each of which could have done
tremendous bodily harm, there were two holes just above Michael's ear, less
than an inch apart. An agent told of hearing two shots from the area where
Michael was killed as they were leaving with their prisoner. Could those
have been made by ATF agents who were "finishing him off" like some kind of
animal?? The hat would have filtered the gunpowder if Michael was shot at
close range. To this day that hat has never been tested!

When the ATF first told the media about Michael and his friends, they told
us three men came out of Mt. Carmel guns a'blazing, one was wounded, one got
away and one was killed. That was a total lie. The three men had worked
their way through the fields from the Mag Bag where they were at work that
morning almost to Mt. Carmel. That fateful day, Sunday, February 28, 1993,
they heard of the raid at Mt. Carmel and of course wanted to go help their
wives, children, and friends. Michael's son was almost three at the time.
Those agents were shooting into his son's bedroom.

Then the media at the ATF/FBI prompting reported that a body had been
"found" four days after the fact. Well, Mr. Wallace, can you explain how 14
well trained sharpshooters can forget where they left a human body? Even a
dumb hunter can find an animal he shot and remembers where he left it!
(Trial testimony declares that the agents visited Michael's body daily)

As a personal explanation for Michael's body laying on the ground for four
days the Texas Rangers told me he was in the line of fire. (I have visited
Mt. Carmel since and learned that Michael's body was in a deep ravine that
appeared to be at least a quarter mile away from where the Church/home of
the Davidians stood. I also believe I read in trial testimony that an agent
in a helicopter about 20 ft above the body could not see Mt. Carmel)
Another reason for them not picking up Michael's body was that he was a "low
priority"! (I believe they were hoping some animal would come by and eat the
body to destroy evidence and that they needed the four days to rehearse with
a story about how it happened and to plant the evidence accordingly)

The FBI led the public to believe that they were allowing the parents to
speak with their children in Mt. Carmel to try to get them to come out!
That is hogwash too! When my husband and I arrived at Waco to go to court
to claim custody of Bryan, I left voice mail messages all over the place
with the FBI, ATF, Texas Rangers and Local Sheriff and no one would
respond.

When Michael's body was picked up, the Texas Rangers went along to
investigate the crime scene. The FBI rushed the Rangers and so the Rangers
marked various items to investigate the next day. Jeff Jamar would not let
the Rangers back on the scene for ten days and by then the rain had washed
everything away. It was during this ten day period that I learned of
Michael's death.

I was told to call Justice of the Peace, David Pareya, to find out where
Michael's body was and when I could view it. I thought Mr. Pareya was being
kind when he advised me not to go see it, that I would want to remember him
as he was alive not partially decomposed. Against my better judgement, I
decided to take that advice. Actually, I was probably to much in shock to
think clearly then.

Well, Mr. Wallace, almost seven years have passed. I have tried numerous
times to get copies of the investigative interviews of the men who shot my
son, only to be stonewalled by the Federal Government and the Texas
Department of Safety. Most recently I have asked for some of the pictures
from the autopsy again the cold shoulder and stonewalling. I have since
sent a formal FOIA type letter to Judge Pareya to release Michael's entire
autopsy file including any tapes (voice or video) pictures, memos, notes in
other words the whole ball of wax. Two reporters have been applying
pressure and still I get absolutely no response!

I am sure you have heard of Mike McNulty and his new video Waco: A new
Revelation. Mr. McNulty, when he was in that evidence locker of the Texas
Rangers/FBI not only found the incendiary devices, he also found Michael's
blue knit watch cap, clearly marked Michael Schroeder! Lost cap????

Mr. Wallace, would you please at least check out Mike McNulty's video as he
has made significant discoveries in his research. Discoveries that prompted
the judge in the Davidian's wrongful death suit to request ALL the evidence
including all notes, memos, reports and every speck of paperwork in the
federal government offices be placed in his custody. Even this judge, who
by the way harshly sentenced the Davidians in the criminal trial, even this
judge suspects the Federal authorities of covering up wrongful deeds at Mt.
Carmel.

I am not a writer, just a mom, so please excuse the rambling. I sincerely
believe this story has to be told, and told by mainstream media.

Thank you for your time reading this and God bless you if you follow
through!

Sincerely,

Sandy Connizzo
