 Dick J. Reavis gives a thorough and unbiased investigation on what really happened in Waco. 
One of the first books I read, when I began studying. This book is a 'must have' for anyone and everyone researching material for this massacre.
Dick has also dedicated hundreds and hundreds of hours and seven long years investigating the events in Waco. He has even testified before Congress based on his knowledge

 James D. Tabor and Eugene V. Gallagher's 
examination of the Waco story offers a balanced account of the siege. They try to help us understand what really happened in Waco by carefully studying the Davidian movement, analyzing the theology and biblical interpretation of the group.
What brought the Branch Davidians to Mount Carmel? Why did the government attack? How did the media affect events? 
Why Waco? is an unsettling wake-up call.

collaborate to meticulously analyze what went wrong at Waco (and other situations in which the Federal government has been involved).

To be sure, they discuss Waco and its aftermath, and draws some conclusions from that tragedy that should shake every Americans conscience. 
It shows government does not have solutions to all our problems, and that, in fact, government itself can BE the cause.
