Hold the mail
a lone reminder
and to start living their lives again?
Coming into Unity on Mt. Carmel
On Mt. Carmel, the myrtles blow
Beneath the main stones row on row
That mark our place
And in the sky
The mockingbirds still sweetly singing fly
As souls beneath the altar cry,
"How long, O Lord, holy and true
Dost thou not avenge our blood
On those that dwell on the earth?"
We are the dead
Today it's five years ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow
Loved, and were loved
But now, our blood cries out on Mt. Carmel
Will you, our fellowservants and dear brethren too
Take up our quarrel with the foe?
Ears stop; why stop ears when light should flow?
To you, from faithful hearts we throw the torch
Sweet Seven Seals reward!
Be yours to hold it high
Up hither, sweet song of liberty
Open Book of Life
Lamb of God, our Lord, who set us free
From sin and death and tyranny
If you break faith with us who cry
We shall not live
Though myrtles blooming blow on Mt. Carmel.
