March 25, 2000

We gathered early to construct signs and banners to use, everyone was in good spirits.
Even the small child above understands what happened in Waco was wrong, and was willing to come out and hold a sign with pictures of Davidian children his age, for everyone to see. A real patriot.

Everyone who attended that day is to be commended. It's what being a patriot is all about!

Then out of no where.....

Uh oh, what did we do wrong!?

It appears we have made the monumental mistake of cluttering up Federal property
with our presence, and we must vacate immediately!

One of the people who attended the Waco Walk had this
to say to his Arizona Senators and Congressman:

"As I was quietly lettering a cardboard sign while
standing close by one of the "benchs" near the sidewalk in front
of the Federal Building, maybe 12 feet from the sidewalk and 60
feet from the building, Security Guard Nadolney came up to me
(and the group of 2 or 3 nearby) and announced we had to move
our stuff OFF of the Federal Property. **This area, by the way, is
the SAME area where COMMUNISTS are regularly observed
when engaged in their protests, during the work week (this was
Saturday) WITHOUT any harassment by "security guards".

(Sharlene's note: While protesting the 51 days outside of the Federal Building, I observed the Communist Party with 4 HUGE banners depicting the deaths of children in Bosnia. They would drape the water fountain that is ON Federal property with the signs, and security guards never said a word to them, EVER! They came every week on Thursdays.)

We AGREED to move our stuff, but were doing so with apparently
insufficient alacrity for Security Guard Nadolney who then
announced, "Move your stuff, NOW!" Though unspoken, by the
tone of his voice combined with my 14 years of military command
experience, I could hear the rest of his command: "Move your
stuff, NOW, private (or serf, slave, scum)!"

I remonstrated with him that he worked for us, We, the people,
that we were in the process of complying, but it was really OUR
property. He told me, in a VERY threatening manner, that it was
HIS property, and we better get out past the line onto the
sidewalk or he was going to call for backup.

We completed our move to the sidewalk. Sometime later, a
DISABLED veteran had to take a break (it was another WARM
Tucson day and the sun was very bright) from standing and
sat down at the end of the "bench" just a few feet from the sidewalk."

Ken has made the mistake of sitting down on "Federal property" to rest his bad leg and seek the ONLY shade available that day. (which happened to be on "their" property)

Even though all of the other people were on the sidewalk, somehow Ken is "disturbing the force" by placing the edge of his posterior on a Saturday afternoon where it simply shouldnt be, acording to Officer K. Nadolney who promptly marches back out of the building but this time with backup.

The attendee continues in his letter:

"Security Guard Nadolney was out in just a few
seconds, again initiating Federal FASCIST confrontation and
this time he was shortly followed by someone who may have
been his supervisor. He was in civilian clothes and did not
identify himself.

He did state he respected our right to free speech but that
he (and Security Guard Nadolney) were just "following policy."

The PERFECT Fascist response...that was denied at the
Nuremburg trials as a sufficient excuse for denying human
RIGHTS.

(Sharlene's note: At this point I put the camera down and got very angry at both of them. Security guard Nadolney then threatened to have me arrested if I did not lower my voice. I promptly replied, "What are you going to do!? Send me to my room!?" To which I just laughed, grabbed my sign and went back to the street. He then yells, "Do you want to go to your room?" Incredulously I said, "Yeah, I do." He said, "Go to your room." I just rolled my eyes and ignored him further.)

You should have seen the face of Security Guard Nadolney,
the ANGER and blind FURY that HIS authority was even being
questioned. This man is likely to precipitate a serious
incident, one day, in my opinion.

So the disabled veteran was prevented from sitting for a
few minutes because he had a Waco sign...he was not
waving it at the time, he was not demonstrating at the time,
he was sitting down quietly but that was too much for
mini-tyrant Nadolney AND his possible supervisor.

(Note: Ken then asked the guard, "Sir, if I were carrying an American flag,
versus this sign would I be permitted to sit here still?"
To which Nadolney replied,
"No."
Communists are perfectly okay, but peaceful patriotic Americans arent?)

Sirs, there were ladies in their 80's, standing in the hot
sun, who could not sit down for a moment because of
this petty-tyrant, who REFUSED to consider that because
he was paid through the Federal Government that he had
some responsibility for courtesy towards those who
"paid his salary".

Sirs, We, the People, are NOT your slaves (nor minor
functionary Nadolney's). Sirs, We, the People, are NOT
your servants. Sirs, YOU ARE our PUBLIC servants and
so is petty-tyrant Nadolney.

This group of people was NOT defacing, damaging, or
destroying any part of so-called "Federal property" (I
say so-called because none of the Federal employees
there could tell me if that property had been ceded to the
Federal Government by the Legislature of the State of
Arizona...and you know that if it was not so ceded, it
is NOT Federal property) and therefore did not deserve
the inconsiderate, discourteous, and threatening
behaviour that Security Guard Nadolney exhibited.

At the very least, he should be made to apologize to
his employers, We, the People, but more safely for
everyone, he should be reassigned to duties where
his inability to think and reason will not be an
impediment to his sinecure."

Sincerely,

After all the excitement....

Being a little pig headed and very much a red head by nature and birthright,
I decided to gather everyone at the very spot Nadolney ran us off of, to read aloud the 82 names
of people who perished between February 28, 1993 and April 19, 1993,
with a moment of silence for each one.
The names of 60 men and woman and 22 children
ended up being 2 full pages of printout, much to my sadness.

When I read the name off of the prisoners still wrongfully being held, I looked security guard Nadolney
straight in the eye for each one, damning that entire agency for all they've done
and just daring him to arrest us all in our time of reflection, and prayer.
